The Atlanta Dream beat the Washington Mystics 83–75 in Game 2 to reach the WNBA semifinals for the first time since 2018, avoiding a first-round exit. The result sends the Eastern Conference’s top regular-season team into a matchup with the New York Liberty, whose upset of Minnesota adds an unusual twist to the next round.

Allisha Gray led Atlanta with 22 points, while Rhyne Howard and Angel Reese each scored 15; Jordin Canada’s fourth-quarter shooting helped restore a commanding lead after Washington cut the gap to three points. The Mystics had 11 first-half turnovers, then briefly rallied with a 14–2 run before Atlanta answered with 13 straight points. The Dream have won three conference titles but have never won a WNBA championship.
