Atlanta’s ONE Musicfest has cancelled its 2026 event, saying it will use the year to rethink and develop a new version of the festival. The decision matters because the long-running event has become a major annual gathering for rap and R&B fans, artists and the wider Atlanta music scene.

Founder Jason “J” Carter said the festival’s aim has been to connect established performers with newer acts and to innovate rather than repeat the same format. Now in its 16th year, ONE Musicfest says it has grown from 1,500 attendees at its first event to more than 100,000 annually; its 2025 line-up included Future, Mary J. Blige, Ludacris, Jazmine Sullivan, Doechii and Clipse.
