Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence, the fifth film in the cult comedy series, will arrive on video-on-demand platforms on 6 October after its theatrical release began on 7 August. The release marks the first announced project in a distribution partnership between Starboard Entertainment and Stonecutter Media, which says it will reveal further titles later.

Directed by David Ferino and filmed in Southern California, the story follows a biotech prodigy whose engineered vegetable experiment creates a new wave of killer tomatoes. John Astin returns as Professor Gangreen, joined by David Koechner, Eric Roberts, Catherine Corcoran and others; the franchise began with the original 1978 film.
