Explained simply

Attack on Titan is a Japanese manga and anime series set in a world where giant humanoid creatures called Titans threaten humanity. The story follows the Scout Regiment, a military group that ventures beyond the walls protecting human settlements to fight the Titans and uncover the truth about them.

The series’ central conflict involves the Scouts and the nine especially powerful Titans, each with distinct abilities. Its story has been adapted into several action games by Koei Tecmo and studio Omega Force, which let players use omni-directional mobility gear to move quickly through the air and attack Titans.

The new game is the third main entry in that action series and is intended to bring its retelling of the Scouts’ story to a close. Its significance for players lies in revisiting events from earlier in the saga while adding battles and story material tied to its ending.
