Audible will release “Exoplanet”, a science-fiction thriller executive produced by Andy Weir and written by Benjamin Percy, on 5 November. Led by Anthony Mackie, Ariana DeBose and John Leguizamo, the production expands Audible’s push into star-led, cinematic audio drama and pairs Weir’s science-focused survival storytelling with a time-spanning premise.

The story follows survivors of the starship Wild Blue Yonder after a quantum anomaly strands them in different eras on one hostile exoplanet. Mackie plays engineer Jeff Shaw, DeBose first officer Becca Bang and Leguizamo science officer Logan Bowers, while an alien intelligence feeds on human technology across timelines; Skywalker Sound provides sound design and Rob Cairns composed the score. It will be exclusive to Audible subscription members or available to buy separately.
