NSW Police in Australia have dismantled an alleged international online child abuse network, triggering arrests in five countries. The operation, led by detectives from the Sex Crimes Squad's Child Exploitation Internet Unit, saw intelligence urgently shared with overseas law enforcement partners, resulting in the identification and detention of suspects abroad who have since been charged with child abuse offences.

The arrests took place in Uruguay, England, Poland, Mexico and the United States, with all suspects remaining in custody. The referrals stemmed from two concurrent NSW Police investigations: Strike Force Constantine, which targets the online distribution of child sexual abuse material featuring ritualistic or satanic themes, and Strike Force Trawler, a broader probe into child exploitation facilitated through internet and telecommunications platforms.
