Former West Coast player remanded over images found on phone
Former West Coast footballer Laurie Bellotti has been remanded in prison after police said they found four images depicting child nudity on his phone when they arrested him over a burglary in Innaloo. The allegations add to a series of legal proceedings involving Bellotti, who pleaded guilty to the burglary and a restraining order breach in Perth Magistrates Court.
Bellotti has not entered a plea to the charge relating to the images. He has also pleaded guilty to eight breaches of a family violence restraining order in Mandurah, while pleading not guilty to aggravated stalking and using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence. The 50-year-old played 24 games for West Coast in 1999 and 2000 before leaving the club.
