Kurt Olsen and at least six other prosecutors have left the Justice Department’s investigation in Florida into an alleged years-long conspiracy against Donald Trump. The departures, following the earlier resignation of Joseph diGenova, cast further doubt on the inquiry’s future; previous reports said it had been reaching dead ends for months.

The investigation was launched to examine whether intelligence and law-enforcement officials, including former CIA director John Brennan, plotted against Trump. A senior career prosecutor was reportedly removed from the case after raising concerns about the evidence, and Trump-aligned figures were later assigned to it. The Justice Department has disputed claims that the probe is stalled, and senior officials visited Florida to assess its progress.
