Denpasar Police have arrested Australian national Arron Robert Brokenshire, 36, from Mona Vale in Sydney's Northern Beaches, on suspicion of possessing and dealing drugs in Bali. He was detained on 10 August 2026 at an apartment in Pemogan Village, Denpasar, following a tip-off from local residents about a foreign man allegedly distributing narcotics in the area, prompting officers to map and monitor the location before moving in.

Police say they seized 37 small packs of cannabis stems, dried leaves and seeds totalling 36.64 grams, plus two packets of tobacco suspected of containing narcotics weighing 21.30 grams, along with a bong and an electronic weighing scale. Brokenshire reportedly told investigators he had bought the cannabis for around IDR 2 million (roughly AUD $160) from an unidentified seller at Kuta Beach, whose identity remains under investigation. He faces up to 12 years in prison under Indonesia's strict drug laws.
