Marvel has re-released "Avengers: Endgame" in cinemas with four new scenes titled "Avengers: Endgame Encore," adding four minutes of footage designed to bridge the 2019 film with the upcoming "Avengers: Doomsday" (releasing 18 December). The new scenes introduce major plot elements including the multiverse's collapse and Doctor Doom's emergence, whilst establishing connections between multiple Marvel universes ahead of the next major team-up film.

The four new scenes feature Loki visiting Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter's home to discuss multiverse instability caused by Steve's time travel; the Time Variance Authority discovering multiple Earths colliding in a catastrophic incursion; Bruce Banner and the Hulk confronting Doctor Doom in an underground facility following events in "Spider-Man: Brand New Day"; and Doctor Doom appearing in the final post-credits sequence. These sequences were filmed during "Doomsday" production and set up the cross-universe integration of characters including the X-Men, Fantastic Four and various MCU heroes into the sprawling ensemble film.
