An award-winning garden from the RHS Chelsea Flower Show has been given a permanent home at Park Hill in Sheffield. The move brings a high-profile horticultural installation to the Grade II-listed housing estate, creating a space intended for residents and reflecting the garden’s theme of connecting urban communities with nearby countryside.

The CPRE’s “On the Edge” garden was designed by Sarah Eberle for the charity’s centenary and won a Gold Medal and Garden of the Year at Chelsea. It features a carved Gaia sculpture, dry-stone walls and planting inspired by the often-overlooked land on the edges of towns and cities; elements were relocated from London to Sheffield after the show.
