Upstate New York duo Babehoven have released "Three Reds," a new single from their forthcoming third studio album, I See Them, I See Me. The song follows previously released tracks "Lasagna" and "Blue Around You," and continues the band's approach of wrapping weighty themes, in this case mortality and legacy, in light, playful musical settings.

Described as a bouncy folk song, "Three Reds" takes its name and inspiration from a car-counting game the band plays while touring, using it as a metaphor for synaesthesia and the tension between concealment and exposure. Band member Maya Bon said the track explores the idea that people are made of the same material as everything that preceded them. I See Them, I See Me is set for release on 18 September via Double Double Whammy, with the single accompanied by a newly released video.
