German noir series Babylon Berlin has confirmed the release date for its final season, bringing to a close one of the most acclaimed and expensive non-English-language dramas ever made. The eight-episode farewell will be accompanied by a suite of spinoffs, including a video game, a making-of documentary and an audio drama, as the show's creators look to extend the franchise beyond the television series.

The final episodes premiere on 10 September on German broadcaster ARD's on-demand platform, followed by two on-air binge blocks of four episodes each on 19 and 25 September. The season covers the final days of the Weimar Republic, from Hitler's appointment as Reich Chancellor in February 1933 to the elections of 5 March that cemented his power. Leads Volker Bruch and Liv Lisa Fries return alongside showrunners Henk Handloegten, Achim von Borries and Tom Tykwer. Since debuting in 2017, the show lost its Netflix deal after three seasons but found a new US home on streamer MHz Choice in 2024.
