BABYMETAL Steps Back Into World Of MARVEL Zombies On Exclusive Variant Cover Celebrating ‘Marvel Zombies: War Zone’
Japanese pop-metal group BABYMETAL is featuring on a limited-edition variant cover for the comic "Marvel Zombies: War Zone" #1, marking a fresh crossover with the Marvel Zombies franchise. The collaboration was prompted by the band's existing link to Marvel Animation's "Marvel Zombies" series on Disney+, after their track "From Me To U" appeared in the show's trailer, and reflects publisher hustl.'s wider push to connect music and pop culture with Marvel properties.
The variant, illustrated by Phil Noto, is limited to 3,500 copies and is available now for pre-order via the Capitol Records online store and through hustl. for collectors, with Japanese pre-orders opening on 7 September; the standard-cover comic goes on sale in shops from 2 September. "From Me To U" originally appeared on BABYMETAL's album "Metal Forth", which reached No. 9 on the Billboard 200 last year, the band's first US top 10 album and a first for an all-Japanese-fronted act. BABYMETAL, formed in 2010 and fronted by Su-Metal, Moametal and Momometal, are due to begin a North American tour this September.

Explained simply
BABYMETAL is a Japanese pop-metal group formed in 2010, fronted by Su-Metal, Moametal and Momometal. Their music combines metal with pop influences, and their album Metal Forth became the first by an all-Japanese-fronted act to reach the top 10 of the US Billboard 200.
Marvel Zombies is a Marvel story world featuring zombified versions of familiar superheroes, including in a Disney+ animated series. BABYMETAL’s song “From Me To U” appeared in the series’ trailer, linking the band with the franchise and providing a starting point for the comic-cover collaboration.
The comic publisher hustl. has used partnerships with musicians and other pop-culture figures to connect its Marvel titles with new audiences. The BABYMETAL cover brings together the band’s music following and Marvel’s comic readership, while the limited print run makes it a collector’s item.
