Bad Bunny's Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show swept all seven categories it was nominated in at the Emmys' first ceremony night, making it the most awarded Super Bowl halftime show in Emmy history and giving the Puerto Rican star his first Emmy win. The result also made history for the awards themselves, as the show became only the second Super Bowl halftime performance to win Outstanding Variety Special (Live) and the first Spanish-language programme ever to take that top prize, capping a milestone year for the artist that already included a historic Grammy win.

The 13-minute show, which featured Puerto Rican imagery, Latin music and guest appearances from Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, also won for directing, music direction, choreography, sound mixing, lighting design, technical direction and camerawork. A Saturday Night Live episode hosted by Bad Bunny separately won Outstanding Makeup, giving him an eighth Emmy across two productions. Elsewhere on the night, Sabrina Carpenter earned her first Emmy for The Muppet Show, moving her halfway towards an EGOT, while the same show beat Taylor Swift's Eras Tour special, leaving Swift without a win from five nominations.
