Country singer Bailey Zimmerman has cancelled the European leg of his summer tour, saying he needs to deal with “important family matters”. He said his family needs his attention and reassured fans that “everything is okay”, while confirming that his North American dates remain scheduled.

The cancelled shows were due to take place in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden and Norway. The decision follows a turbulent summer in which Zimmerman cancelled two May concerts, resolved felony criminal-damage allegations after reportedly paying full restitution for $16,000 of hotel-room damage, and called off a Delaware State Fair show after a power cut; his next listed performance is 6 August in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
