Banijay Rights Names CFO As John Wagener Exits After 20 Years

John Richards has been named CFO of the combined Banijay Rights and All3Media International sales business, completing a key leadership appointment after the companies’ merger. John Wagener, All3Media International’s CFO and COO, is leaving after 20 years, having decided earlier this year to pursue new challenges.

Richards has worked at Banijay for a decade and will oversee finance for a business led by Cathy Payne. Its catalogue spans more than 250,000 hours, including *Peaky Blinders*, *Big Brother* and *MasterChef*. The merged group is seeking €50 million in synergies within 12 months of the deal closing and has begun combining teams, systems and operations.
