Two people who died when a light plane crashed south of Brisbane on Monday have been named as Queensland businessman Ian Campbell and his daughter, Hannah Campbell. Mr Campbell, 56, founded the dairy business Barambah Organics, and the death of the pair — the only two people aboard the aircraft — represents a significant loss for the fourth-generation dairy farming family, which also established the olive oil and grass-fed meat producer Mañana Pastoral.

The Beechcraft A36 Bonanza had departed Brisbane's Archerfield Airport and was airborne for 18 minutes before it crashed into a rural property on Musch Road at Chambers Flat, near Logan, shortly after 11am, according to FlightRadar24 data. Local residents alerted emergency services after hearing an explosion and seeing black smoke rising from the site. Hannah Campbell is believed to have been 23 years old.
