Barnsley have signed Ivorian striker Ben Hamed Toure from French second-tier club Annecy for an undisclosed fee, strengthening the Tykes' attacking options ahead of the new season. The 23-year-old joins on a three-year deal with a club option for a fourth year, having long harboured ambitions of playing in England.

Toure began his career at Ajaccio before moving to Annecy last summer, and has now made more than 100 club appearances. He said the manager's style of play was a key factor in convincing him to make the switch to Barnsley.
