Battlefield 6 devs to fix “Secuty” skin typo, but five-pistol outfit was intentional

Eurogamer ·

Battlefield Studios has confirmed that a “Secuty” typo on a Battlefield 6 Season 5 character skin will be corrected, after players criticised the cosmetic and accused the studio of using AI to generate it. The team did not address those AI claims, but said it was reviewing how it communicates known visual errors, which it said can cause confusion and weaken trust.

The correction is planned for the Season 5 Phase 2 release. A separate skin featuring five pistols, called Midnight Mirage, was intentional: the studio described it as a nod to exaggerated action films. Season 5 launched this week with new maps, weapons, vehicles and gameplay changes, but also faced criticism over the cosmetics and a reduction in XP gains.
