EA and Battlefield Studios have unveiled a Top Gun crossover for Battlefield 6 as part of the game's Season 4 update, bringing licensed vehicles, character skins and new modes inspired by the film franchise. The collaboration with Paramount Games Studio marks a significant moment for the title as it approaches its first anniversary this October, with EA describing Season 4 as its biggest content update yet.

The crossover will introduce the F-18 Super Hornet and F-14 Tomcat aircraft, alongside character skins and full voice acting for Top Gun: Maverick stars Miles Teller, Lewis Pullman and Charles Parnell, reprising their film roles. Season 4 rolls out in three phases: Pacific Front launched with the new Tsuru Reef map, the Top Gun phase arrives on 18 August with a remade Wake Island map and two new naval/aerial modes including Carrier Strike, and a Tidal Strike phase with a Deep Six collection event follows on 15 September. The update also adds Spectator Mode and Portal Custom Lobby features.
