"Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series" is being reissued on Blu-ray by Universal on 11 August 2026, giving fans a way to own the entire acclaimed reboot in one collection after years of it shifting between various streaming services. The 2004 series, created by Ronald D. Moore, reimagined the campy 1978 original as a darker, post-apocalyptic drama exploring religion, artificial intelligence, politics and survival, and is widely regarded as one of the genre's most influential television achievements.

The new 21-disc set includes all four seasons plus the original miniseries, amounting to 4,171 minutes of footage in total. Although it is not a fresh 4K restoration, the release presents the show in 1080p high definition with its original 1.78:1 aspect ratio, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound, and subtitles in English (SDH), French and Spanish.
