The Beach Boys have postponed the remaining dates of their summer 2026 North American tour so frontman Mike Love, 85, can “recharge”. The decision affects roughly six weeks and nearly 30 shows, and follows earlier cancellations linked to an unspecified illness; it matters because Love is now the only original-era member touring with the Love-led version of the band.

The pause began ahead of a scheduled 23 July performance at Virginia’s Wolf Trap and covers dates through a planned 3 September concert in Pueblo, Colorado. Existing tickets will be honoured when the tour resumes in September, with replacement dates announced from 24 September through November and one further Canadian date in May; fans have been advised to contact local box offices. Love said the group had been performing while marking the US 250th anniversary and the 60th anniversary of Pet Sounds.
