Court hears accused sent colleague explicit texts about relationship with Jesse Baird
The NSW Supreme Court heard that accused killer Beau Lamarre-Condon sent sexually explicit texts to his female police colleague Nicole Harvell about his intimate relationship with Jesse Baird in April 2023, less than a year before he allegedly murdered Baird and Baird's new boyfriend Luke Davies. Lamarre-Condon, 31, allegedly used a police-issued firearm to kill both men in February 2024, then disposed of their bodies in surfboard bags at a rural property in Bungonia, south of Sydney, where they were discovered eight days later.
The court heard that Lamarre-Condon began texting Ms Harvell about his intimate life with Baird just one month after they became close friends following a shared police shift in March 2023, describing their "intimacy and sex" as "getting more and more intense." By mid-April, after Lamarre-Condon allegedly discovered messages from another man on Baird's phone, he expressed doubts to Ms Harvell; their relationship ended permanently in November 2023 because Lamarre-Condon wanted exclusivity Baird refused to provide. Lamarre-Condon has pleaded not guilty to two counts of domestic violence-related murder and one count of aggravated break and enter; his trial began on 21 September and is scheduled to conclude in December.
