Former police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon’s jury trial has begun in Sydney over the alleged murders of television presenter Jesse Baird and flight attendant Luke Davies. Lamarre-Condon, 31, has pleaded not guilty to two domestic violence-related murder charges and an aggravated break-and-enter charge.

Prosecutors allege he used his service firearm to shoot the couple at a terrace in Paddington in February 2024. Their bodies were allegedly found in surf bags near Bungonia, around 200km south-west of Sydney, the following week; the trial, before Justice Natalie Adams, is expected to hear from dozens of witnesses over about three months.
