Beck Shares Touching New Song ‘Disappearing Act’
Beck has released "Disappearing Act", the third song shared from his forthcoming album Ride Lonesome, due out on 18th September 2026. The record marks a return to the warmer, more intimate Americana sound of his acclaimed albums Mutations and Sea Change, and its release matters as a signal that Beck is revisiting that beloved era of his catalogue nearly three decades on, now as a more experienced and mature artist.
The album was recorded at Room B at United Studios in Hollywood with a group of longtime collaborators, including Smokey Hormel, Joey Waronker, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Roger Joseph Manning Jr. and Jason Falkner. "Disappearing Act" is described as a warm, humane group performance featuring a weathered, mature vocal from Beck. Alongside the album announcement, Beck is set to embark on a full North American tour this autumn.
