BECKY BALDWIN, Bassist On TONY IOMMI’s ‘From The Dark’ Solo Album: ‘I Am So Proud To Be A Part Of This’
Becky Baldwin has said she is proud to have recorded bass for Tony Iommi’s forthcoming solo album, “From The Dark”, calling the collaboration a major honour. The project reunites Iommi with a new line-up and marks a significant release from the Black Sabbath guitarist, with its first single, “World Alone”, now available ahead of the album’s October release.
Baldwin, 35, plays alongside drummer Karl Brazil and Norwegian singer Jorn Lande, with Mike Exeter producing the album. Iommi said he chose the Birmingham-based Mercyful Fate bassist because she is a strong player who admires and can perform in the style of Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler, who was unavailable to take part due to other commitments.
