Jason Statham's 2013 action drama Redemption (also known as Hummingbird), written and directed by Peaky Blinders creator and James Bond screenwriter Steven Knight, will become available to stream free on Plex from 1 September 2026. The film's return to prominence comes as Statham enjoys a busy period, with several new projects in the pipeline, while his most recent theatrical release, the thriller Mutiny, has struggled at the box office.

Redemption stars Statham alongside Benedict Wong and follows Joey, a damaged former special forces soldier who returns from combat to face a difficult life on the streets of London; Knight had originally considered Cillian Murphy for the lead role. Thirteen years after its release, the film's Plex debut arrives as Statham prepares for The Beekeeper 2, the self-starring project Jason Statham Stole My Bike, and a sixth collaboration with director Guy Ritchie on Viva La Madness, while Mutiny has recouped only $13 million of its $40 million budget in its first week.
