Ben Wang and Minnie Mills have completed filming Admissions, an independent road-trip film written and directed by first-time feature filmmakers Aimee Pham and Kai Sampadian. The film follows two college admissions officers with opposing views of the admissions system, whose recruitment journey through Illinois forces them to confront the consequences of deciding which applicants get opportunities while questioning their own futures.

The film was shot in Chicago and across Illinois, with support from the state’s Film Production Tax Credit. CJ Kari executive produced, alongside producers Elias Ginsberg, Christian Vergara and Jake Prine, with four co-producers also attached. Pham and Sampadian are USC alumni whose previous work includes the Black List-selected script Place to Be and award-winning short House Rules; Wang is known for American Born Chinese and Karate Kid: Legends, while Mills has appeared in The Summer I Turned Pretty and Obliterated.
