Amazon MGM Studios is developing Hang the Decorators, a true-crime dark comedy feature to be produced by Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Yan Fisher. Written by Mike Makowsky, the film follows two gay interior designers whose work for a powerful drug kingpin and his wife brings them love, freedom and influence before their luxurious world collapses.

The project is based on the real experiences of Alexander Blarek and Frank Pellecchia, who must decide how much they are prepared to risk and remain loyal to each other. Makowsky previously created Death by Lightning and wrote Bad Education, while Berlanti/Schechter Films is also completing production on Red, White & Royal Wedding.
