Electronic Arts has introduced the Rapid Resilience Evolution in FC 26 Ultimate Team, a free upgrade item that lets players boost up to two cards from their squads. It can be applied as the final step in an evolution chain or used at the start, and offers substantial improvements to defensive attributes, making it a useful tool for players looking to strengthen their squad without spending in-game currency.

Eligible cards must have a maximum overall rating of 93, no more than 10 PlayStyles and three PlayStyle+ traits, cannot be goalkeepers, and cannot belong to the World Tour Silver Stars rarity. Across three upgrade levels, unlocked by playing matches in modes such as Squad Battles, Rush, Rivals, Champions or Live Events, players gain boosts to pace, interceptions, heading, tackling, aggression, strength and stamina, along with new PlayStyles including Intercept, Jockey and Block. Recommended candidates include Dumfries, Davies, Oosterwolde, Hernandez, Maldini, Thuram, Rijkaard, Gullit, Nesta and Cancelo, with players advised to use the evolution within a chain if they want the upgraded card usable in competitive modes.
