Deadline · 2 hours ago

Beta Cinema has announced a fresh wave of territorial sales for Trudie Styler's comedy Up Against It, ahead of the film's world premiere as a gala presentation at the Toronto International Film Festival this week. The new deals push the film's total sales past 50 territories, underlining strong international distributor confidence in the project as it heads into its high-profile debut.

The latest agreements cover Spain, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria and Latin America, adding to previously secured deals in Australia and New Zealand, the Middle East, Italy, Scandinavia, Benelux, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, former Yugoslavia, and Hungary. The film, previously known as Rose's Baby, stars Antonio Banderas and Eva Birthistle as a divorced couple who must reconcile to help their daughter, who has a rare form of leukaemia, with support from a cast including Úrsula Corberó, Arinzé Kene, Forest Whitaker, Richard E. Grant and Eden Hamilton. It is produced by Maven Screen Media and Tempo Productions, with cinematography by Dante Spinotti.
