The post follows Bethesda's announcement of its release roadmap, itself coming after significant layoffs across Xbox as new CEO Asha Sharma pushes a "reset" of Microsoft's gaming business focused on core franchises, meaning more frequent Elder Scrolls and Fallout releases.

Howard confirmed Fallout 5 is now in pre-production, Obsidian is developing a new Fallout game, remasters of Fallout 3 and New Vegas are underway, and Starfield remains active, while The Elder Scrolls 6 keeps Bethesda Game Studios occupied.
