Bethesda Officially Confirms The Elder Scrolls 6 Name
Bethesda has confirmed that the next main Elder Scrolls game is titled The Elder Scrolls 6: Sentinel. Todd Howard announced the name in a video marking the studio’s 40th anniversary, making the reveal a notable update on a role-playing game that has been shrouded in mystery since its initial announcement in 2018.
The anniversary video offers hints but little concrete information: a scroll emerges from sand, and accompanying text refers to Hammerfell and the year 4E 206, five years after Skyrim’s events. These details fit existing speculation that the game is set in Hammerfell, though Bethesda has not confirmed the setting, shown a full trailer or announced a release date. Xbox chief Asha Sharma said after visiting the studio in August that the game’s scale and story impressed her.
In short
- Bethesda confirms the next Elder Scrolls game is called Sentinel.
