Bethesda Reveals Roadmap: The Elder Scrolls 6, Fallout 5, Obsidian’s New Fallout Game, Several Remaster Projects, and More All Confirmed
Bethesda Game Studios has confirmed its full development roadmap, including The Elder Scrolls 6, Fallout 5, a new Fallout title from Obsidian Entertainment, and remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. The announcement comes as Bethesda and parent company Xbox refocus on core franchises following a "reset" last week that saw over 3,000 layoffs and several studios spun out of Xbox, making this a significant signal of where the publisher's priorities now lie.
Todd Howard's team remains focused on The Elder Scrolls 6, first announced in 2018 and still reportedly at least two years from release, while Fallout 5 is in preproduction and will share a tech pipeline built on the in-house Creation Engine 3. Bethesda also confirmed a 30th anniversary "Fallout Day" event in Washington, D.C. next year, and said Starfield "continues" into its third year with new Starborn content planned, though a sequel was not confirmed. No release windows were given for any of the projects mentioned.
