Home renovation expert Konya Hendricks Schuh, who stars in the A&E series "Betting on Beloit," has made an unusual discovery whilst renovating properties in the city: vintage ladies' lingerie hidden inside a wall during Season 2 filming. The find exemplifies the quirky surprises that emerge alongside the show's broader mission to revitalise Beloit's most neglected neighbourhoods by purchasing and restoring the worst-condition properties.

Schuh works alongside her husband, Matt, a plumbing contractor and former home builder, and project manager Pete Woodkey, targeting properties that are dragging down their neighbourhoods. More sentimental discoveries have included old newspapers, photographs and boxes of family memorabilia containing awards from Beloit Corp dating back 75 years. Her largest project to date is a Dutch Colonial mansion valued at £975,000, formerly used as college housing, which remains on the market. The initiative, backed by her mother Diane Hendricks, a billionaire entrepreneur and philanthropist, aims to make Beloit an attractive destination for families to settle and work, rather than relocating to larger metropolitan areas.
