Player data shows that around 70–80% of Blood Bowl 3 matches are played solo against the AI, highlighting the importance of single-player support despite the game’s competitive multiplayer focus. Cyanide says the finding has influenced the relaunch, Warhammer: Blood Bowl, which aims to improve the experience after Blood Bowl 3’s troubled launch.

The existing AI was criticised as weak, but the new version is intended to offer more capable opponents, including recognising assists, making important passes and providing a reasonable challenge for both beginners and experienced players. The relaunch will also include updated tabletop rules, new teams and a seven-a-side Rumble mode, with existing Blood Bowl 3 players retaining their content.
