The 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck Chocó on 10 August, killing at least 312 people, destroying 29,000 homes and affecting or displacing around 69,000 people—about 10% of the region’s population. Shakira has pledged $1.25 million towards rebuilding schools, Karol G has donated $1.2 million through her foundation, and Morat will give part of its Bogotá residency ticket sales to relief efforts.
