Beyoncé is an American singer whose solo career began while she was also a member of the R&B group Destiny’s Child. B’Day was her second solo studio album, released in 2006, and arrived at a period when she was establishing herself as a major solo pop and R&B artist.

The album combined dance, R&B and pop songs, and included collaborations with artists such as Jay-Z and Shakira. Its original release was followed by a separate Spanish-language version, reflecting Beyoncé’s effort to reach audiences beyond English-speaking markets.

Anniversary editions are expanded reissues that revisit older albums, often adding tracks that were not on the original standard release. B-sides are songs previously issued alongside singles or kept outside the main album, while vinyl editions are physical records aimed at collectors as well as listeners.
