Chuk Anyanwu became the fifth housemate evicted from Big Brother Season 28 after losing the Week 5 vote by nine votes to one. The result followed a divided week in the house, with Head of Household La Trice Verrett targeting Chuk alongside Haley Thogmartin and Barrett Pfeiffer.

Kamu Kirk won the Veto but left nominations unchanged, while Haley secured safety by winning the BB Block Buster competition on eviction night. Barrett then received only Haley’s vote for eviction; Melody, Angela, Kamu, Dee, Yash, Devens, Drew, Taylor and Mallory voted to evict Chuk.
