Peacock has cancelled the Miami-set crime drama M.I.A. after just one season, ending the run of the series created, written and executive produced by Bill Dubuque. The show launched with considerable promotional support, including all nine episodes released at once and a special network airing on NBC, but the streamer has opted not to continue it, with no reasons given for the decision. The cancellation adds to a growing list of Peacock scripted series that have failed to secure renewal.

The series premiered on 7 May with nine hour-long episodes and followed Etta Tiger Jonze, played by Shannon Gisela, as she navigated Miami's criminal underworld after her family's drug-running business came under threat. Notably, it was one of relatively few shows both set and filmed in Miami. The cast included Cary Elwes, Danay Garcia and Brittany Adebumola, with Karen Campbell serving as showrunner and Alethea Jones directing the opening episodes. MRC produced the series, with Paramount Global Content Distribution handling distribution.
