Billy Joel has announced a comprehensive 50th anniversary edition of his landmark 1976 album Turnstiles, featuring 54 previously unreleased tracks across four CDs and a Blu-ray release. This collection is significant as Turnstiles marked Joel's return to New York City and his transformation from "The Piano Man" into an established artist in his own right, capturing a crucial turning point in his career during 1975–1976.

The set, arriving 11 December 2026, contains 67 audio tracks and 32 video performances in total, with 54 songs and 24 video performances making their public debut. Highlights include live recordings from Joel's June 1975 San Francisco performances and a 1976 New York show, along with the complete Billy Joel Tonight concert film from December 1976, newly restored in HD with a Dolby Atmos mix. The release also features a 40-page hardcover booklet with previously unseen photographs, archival material and liner notes from music journalist David Fricke.
