Birmingham will hold its first "Ozzy Day" on Wednesday, 22 July 2026, a free city-centre event celebrating the life and legacy of Aston-born rock star Ozzy Osbourne. Organised by Central BID and OPUS in partnership with Birmingham City Council, Birmingham New Street and Westside BID, the day marks one year since Osbourne's funeral procession through the city and aims to bring residents and fans together to honour his global impact and deep roots in Birmingham.

Activities will span sites including the Black Sabbath Bench and Bridge, Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, New Street Station, Bullring, Selfridges and Martineau Place. Highlights include pop-up performances by brass band Bostin Brass, a lunchtime set from City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra musicians at Bullring, free Polaroid photos with a specially dressed "Ozzy the Bull", a memory-sharing guestbook run by Birmingham Music Archive, commissioned short films documenting the tributes, and a limited-edition t-shirt listing all 52 gigs Osbourne played in the city, on sale at Selfridges from 22 July.
