Tony Iommi, the guitarist and founder of Black Sabbath, has announced a new solo album titled "From The Dark", released via BMG. The record was unveiled alongside its lead single, "World Alone", premiered at a global streaming event in Iommi's hometown of Birmingham, and arrives roughly a year after Black Sabbath's farewell show at 2025's "Back To The Beginning" concert in the same city, underlining Iommi's continued creative output beyond the band.

The nine-track album features Norwegian vocalist Jorn Lande, who co-wrote every song, alongside bassist Becky Baldwin and drummer Karl Brazil, and was co-produced by Iommi with longtime collaborator Mike Exeter. A limited seven-inch single of "World Alone", including an instrumental B-side, is due on 4 September, with the song also set to appear on the Gibson learn-to-play-guitar app, while the full album will be issued across multiple deluxe vinyl, CD and media-book formats.
