Blackpink’s Lisa Returns to Her Rap Roots on Solo Single ‘SaWaDiKa’
Blackpink's Lisa has released "SaWaDiKa," a new solo single marking a return to her rap-focused sound, alongside a music video shot in her native Bangkok. The Thai-titled track (meaning "hello") serves as the lead single from her forthcoming EP, signalling the start of a busy new chapter for the K-pop star that spans music, film and live performance.
The song was produced by Thom Bridges, known for work with Katseye and John Summit, alongside songwriting duo Ojivolta, and comes ahead of Lisa's EP Press Play, due for release on 23 October via LLOUD Co./RCA Records. The accompanying video, directed by Korean filmmaker Bang Jae Yeob, features Lisa in striking outfits across Bangkok landmarks. It is her first solo single of 2026, following May's collaborative FIFA World Cup track "Goals," and precedes her documentary Always Lalisa (premiering 12 October) and her Viva La Lisa residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, with shows scheduled for 13, 14, 27 and 28 November.
