Blake Griffin to Host His Own Late Night TV Show (Exclusive)
Former NBA All-Star Blake Griffin is set to host The Stepback with Blake Griffin, a weekly late-night sports commentary programme for Prime Video and YouTube. The show aims to combine comedy and cultural analysis, with Griffin addressing prominent and sometimes contentious issues in sport from the perspective of a former player and broadcaster.
The first episode is due to be released on 20 October, alongside the start of the NBA season, with new episodes scheduled each Tuesday. Produced by Amazon’s Wondery and Griffin’s Mortal Media, the programme has already been recorded before post-production; it will usually feature no guests and instead centre on Griffin’s own commentary on topics including gambling, NIL rules, stadium funding, cannabis use, analytics and sports journalism.
