Blink49 Studios Evolves as a Pure-Play Content Shop to Meet the Moment for Content Production
Blink49 Studios is marking its fifth year by focusing on developing and producing content, while adapting to a media industry increasingly shaped by creators, brands and direct audience relationships. Founder John Morayniss says the company deliberately launched as a “pure-play” content business, rather than centring its model on distribution, and sees new opportunities in connecting traditional production with the creator economy.
The company’s recent projects include mystery drama “YAGA”, airing on AMC+ and Crave, reality series “The Golden Life” on E!, and its first microdrama, “Murder at the Mansion”, made with Uber Eats. Blink49 has also worked on shows including “Wild Cards” and “Beast Games”, and is producing documentaries about the New York Knicks’ NBA Finals victory and music with influencer Jaeki Cho. It aims to help creators extend their work into areas such as consumer products, licensing and merchandising.
In short
- Blink49 turns five with a focus on content production.
- Its projects span scripted, unscripted and branded formats.
- The studio aims to link traditional media with creator businesses.
