The exact August figure was 17,000,838 admissions, with only July 2023's "Barbenheimer" period surpassing it in the post-pandemic era. The bulk of the growth is attributed to Christopher Nolan's Odyssey (£89m UK gross) and Spider-Man: Brand New Day (£77m UK gross). The trend mirrors strong results across Europe, where EMEA box office revenue rose 88 per cent year-on-year, with France recording its best August since records began in 1980 and Italy posting its strongest-ever June-to-August period.
