‘Bloodsuckers’ Team Reunites on ‘Body in the Closet’ on Warner Bros. Title With Comedian Axel Åhman Eyed for the Lead Role (EXCLUSIVE)
Comedian Axel Åhman is set to star in *Body in the Closet*, a darkly comic series for Warner Bros. International Television Production Finland. The show reunites director Elin Grönblom and co-writer and lead actor Josefin Sonck, known for *Bloodsuckers*, and uses supernatural comedy to explore self-absorption and family relationships.
Åhman plays Staffan, a theatre employee who dies accidentally in a chainsaw incident, then returns to haunt Betty. Filming is due to begin next autumn, and Swedish-language broadcaster Svenska YLE is attached. Set in Helsinki’s theatre world and among Finland’s Swedish-speaking minority, the series aims to pair an exaggerated, humorous tone with themes of narcissism, validation and control.
