Bob Dylan Meets Pope Leo
Pope Leo XIV met Bob Dylan at the Vatican on Wednesday, where they exchanged greetings and gifts. Their meeting follows the Pope’s use of Dylan’s unreleased song “Go Away You Bomb” to warn about global rearmament and the threat of nuclear weapons.
Dylan gave the Pope a copy of his memoir, *Chronicles: Volume One*, and received a rosary. It was Dylan’s second meeting with a pope: in 1997, he performed several songs for John Paul II. Both men have Midwestern roots.
